Today, September 11, 2001, a very sad event took place: There was a terrorist attack on America. Two planes, each full of passengers, was hi-jacked and was crashed into the World Trade Center, which shortly after, the two buildings crumbled. Another plane was also crashed into the Pentagon, klling those passengers as well. But, not only with those three planes down, a fourth crashed outside of Pittsburg, heading for Camp David. I pray for the people who has been killed, and I pray they have a safe journey to the afterlife, may God be with them...
These weren't the only people hurt, however... There was dozens of families waiting at Airports, just to find out their loved ones wouldn't come back. A friend of mine has several friends who ran out of their school, crying, due to hearing that their families had died. Many people aren't going to come home from work, or come crawling out from under the debris. Think of the police officers, ambulence workers, and fire fighters who have to witness this horrific event. With all these traumatic happenings, it was a sad day, a very sad day, in American history indeed...
Sept 11, 02
It has been one whole year since the that day. Although I'm not an overly patriotic person, I feel the need to bring into my site a tribute to those affected by this awful tradgedy. This year has been a massively stressful year for the victims. Feelings of dispair, hate, healing, hurt - any emotion imaginable - was felt. Stories of healing fill the press, stories of revenge, justice, and hate fill headlines and web-sites. But deep down in the fabric of America lie the victims.
The victims being all those affected by this event. Those who died, those who lost loved ones, those who lost nothing at all but felt an inspired need to help and heal. Those who felt the pain, and anger. Or even the people who felt the prejudice and hate that was born of this event.
One such thought that was brought to my attention today was this one fellow who pointed his finger at all the gays, adulterers, murders, dicorcees, and all those who defy God in this country. He said it was they who caused this and brought it upon us. True, that the country without God loses his protection, but who's blood lies on whos hands?
The blood of all the victims lies soely on christians hands. It is not the terrorists, or the gays, or the murderers. To get a grasp of what I'm saying you must learn one of the main responsabilities of a christian.
Christians now a days sit back, relax, as all this torment around us occur. Yet, as soon as America is hurt, we all cry "God bless us!" If the christians now in this country (exlcuding all those who honestly are following God and obeying Him) did as the Bible instructed, the attacks might have been prevented. God's protective hand leaves the country that leaves God. This country, all of us, christian or not, is guilty. We can blame the middle east and the Muslims all we want, but look at it: even American Muslims suffered from these attacks. The fault is not within our government, not with religion, and not with God; it is with us. We as people, Godly or not, are responsible due to our lack of God and our disobediance to God. We live in a society where everything is tolerable and ok except God and the teachings of God.
But God still loves America. He still loves Muslims. No matter what happens, He can fix everything. He will love us all unconditionally. Get God, find God, obey God, and trust God. Love your enemies, and show them God, and God will bless us all. "God bless America"? Only when we do as He commands us.
This passage was not to point fingers. I'm just as guilty as a simple 16 yr old, as BinLaden. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Remember, however, to keep not only Americans, but Muslims and all the,m terrorists in your prayers. They shed innocent lives, yes, but God still loves them and pains to see them lost. Jesus said "The harvest is full, but the harvesters are few." (Travis's abridged version) Keep us, as christians, in your prayers. That we will not fall from God, and turn to sinful ways. That we will love our enemies, so that our enemies will see God and repent and turn from their evil ways. Keep the victims in your prayers; their healing and attitudes. God forgive us of our neglectance to the most obvious faults in ourselves...
